About the role

We are looking for an People Business Partner to join our local People team in Riga team and work closely with leaders in a dynamic, international organization. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to local and international managers, supporting People process, organizational growth, and continuous change while collaborating closely with colleagues in Latvia and Norway.

The role offers some flexibility in focus and scope, allowing to design responsibilities based on your strengths and experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Support leaders in difficult cases, and make sure they follow up according to Latvian labor law
  • Partner with leaders on people-related topics, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness in line with business goals
  • Support and drive organizational and cultural change initiatives
  • Provide proactive, high-quality HR support and advice to leaders
  • Support leaders in recruitment processes, including interviews and hiring decisions
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders and work in line with Group processes and local legislation

Experience & qualifications

  • Education in HR management, business administration, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a People Business Partner or similar role, preferably in a large, complex and/or international organization and cultural fluency across Nordics
  • Proven experience in supporting and developing leaders at different levels through coaching, advisory, and partnership
  • Hands-on experience in supporting and implementing organizational change
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Latvian and English* (Norwegian or Swedish is an advantage)

  • Analytical skills, including experience with HR data, Excel, reporting, and compensation analysis

  • Creativity and communication skills, including understanding of change communication to drive engagement and adoption
